It Was Fifty Years Ago Today...

The day the music died. Supposedly. Not for me, though. The Beatles may have gotten me into music, but it was Buddy Holly that made me pick up a guitar, even though he died over a decade before I was even born. I always thought that was a little weird, but it's amazing just how many guitarists have said the same thing, even today. I've met teenagers, recently, who said they were inspired to play, even if only partly, by Buddy Holly.
So I guess the music didn't really die. Just the man.

Global Warming Update

More evidence that Global Warming™ is just a scam to get our money and turn us into obedient little subjects. You’d think that with all the mounting evidence that GW is a farce, that there’d be some sort of backlash against it.

Oh, that’s right, there is. You just have to look somewhere other than the Obamedia to hear about it.

The Revolution Will NOT Be Televised (But It Will Be All Over The Interwebs)

OK. So I’ve finished my designated period of mourning (11/16/08-1/21/09), and now I’m back. To quote our beloved poet laureate LL Cool J “Dont call it a comeback, I been here for years, Rockin my peers and puttin suckas in fear.” Now it’s time to get down to the business of being the fly in the ointment, the monkey in the wrench, the sand in the Vaseline. Or whatever.
I was in Barnes and Noble the other day, loitering, as is my wont, and it just seemed like everywhere I turned, there was yet another book about how wonderful and magically delicious our new fearless leader is. Actually that’s not exactly true. Everywhere I turned, there were DOZENS of books about it. With all the media bleating about Obama, and all the celebutards cooing over him and making stupid videos letting him know that they awaiting his orders, it just kinda got to me. For a brief moment, I had the overwhelming urge to burn the store to the ground. I didn’t, obviously. I went outside and got some air. Then I went back in and turned all the books about him over so that the covers couldn’t be seen. Childish I know, but laughing about how childish it was made me feel better.
Why is all this bothering me so much? I don’t really have anything against Obama. I know that turning all the books about him cover down is just as pointless and stupid as when the leftards did it to pro-Bush books. It doesn’t accomplish anything, and considering the target, is a good way to get labeled as a racist, even though race has nothing to do with how I feel.
So what is it that’s got me in this mood?
I think it’s because all the mindless oohing and ahhing, all the talk about how everything is going to change, how there’s a real feeling of hope for the first time, reminds me too much of the way third world countries react when a new strongman takes power. Now, I’m not saying Obama is a third world strongman. At best he’s a hack politician, no better or worse than any other hack politician we’ve elected to office over the past 200+ years. It’s just that in the third world countries, the citizens are publically jumping up and down with excitement because they don’t want to have their hands cut off and their families tortured. The Ozombies writing all the books and making a big deal about it on TV actually seem to believe what they’re saying.
Eventually, all the excitement will end. Obama will turn out to be just another hack politician like all the others. The Ozombies will be disappointed when the world doesn’t change and they have to keep working a job they hate to pay the rent. The third worlders will be disappointed when, in spite of their best efforts, their hands get cut off and their families get tortured. And it will be delicious to watch. The lefty disappointment, I mean, not the hand cutting or torture. Jesus what kind of person do you think I am?
So, I guess what I’m saying is, I’m back, and I’m going to be posting again on a regular basis (or at least trying to. It’s hard when you’re lazy). And, in spite of all of this, here’s to Obama. I hope his Presidency is a success. I also hope to win the lottery. I ‘m just pretty realistic about the odds of both.

Hurricane Season

I guess that whole Global Warming thing isn't really working out for the left. This latest "Worst Hurricane Season in the History of the Universe" just didn't pan out for them. Again.

And So The Obama Resistance Begins

At this point it appears that he has won the election, and so there is nothing left to do but hold on tight and try to survive the ride. We can pray that the various stupid policy ideas he has endorsed during the campaign were just talk, but that’s all it will most likely be: hope. The Fairness Doctrine, which he supports, will be used to stifle free speech on the right. His environmental regulations will bankrupt the coal industry, which provides 50% of our nation’s energy, and will drive electricity prices through the roof. His national security policies will invite aggression from our enemies, and put the continued existence of the state of Israel in doubt.

It’s time to muster our forces for a counter-attack in 2010. We need to pick a good candidate for 2012, because of the seven or so candidates we had to choose from in 2008, we managed to pick one of the weakest available. John McCain may have been a war hero, but he was a thud as a Presidential candidate. The only bright spot of the campaign was Sarah Palin, who now, thankfully, becomes the de facto head of the conservative movement and the Republican front runner for 2012. She can go back to Alaska, where she has an 82% approval rate, and continue to gain executive experience for four years. She’ll be ready in 2012.

Barack Obama is apparently going to be our first black President. (Bill Clinton not withstanding.)

Hopefully Sarah Palin will be our first female President in four years.

Logic

The Iranian government today complained that the U.S. is using pressure instead of logic when dealing with their country’s nuclear program.

This is a rare moment of truth from the Iranian government. We are indeed using pressure instead of logic, for which the Iranians should be grateful. If we were using logic, the entire country of Iran would be nothing but radioactive glass.

Video - Hippies Crying Over Dead Trees

This has got to be a parody. Nobody, not even hippies, could be this stupid, could they? Well, actually, now that I think about it, I have met some hippies that are this stupid. I am in California, after all. But damn, this is just pathetic.

Top Clinton Fundraiser Backs McCain Over Obama

And another P.U.M.A. crosses over to the light side. News like this can’t be making Obama happy. First he can’t keep his grip on the Hillary supporters. Then he starts losing the independents. Then the white women. Now this. Granted it’s only one person, but it’s a high profile person. Wel, at least he still has the Jewish vote locked up. Oh, wait….

Sarah Palin’s Personal E-Mail Hacked

Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin has had her personal Yahoo email account hacked. Gawker has copies of everything, including unpublished family pictures, private cell phone numbers, including Bristol Palin’s private cell, and address book entries. I’d link to the article, but I don’t want to help spread this crap. Plus, I have a policy of not linking to sites that might be infected by the crazy.

Biden Who?

Sarah Palin seems to be driving the media coverage in the campaign now, with Obama and McCain taking a backseat, and Biden seeming to have fallen off the face of the earth. This is bad news for the Obama campaign. The attention focused on Palin, most of it stupidly negative, hurts Obama as it alienates voters, and diminishes him. It’s unprecedented for the Presidential candidate on one side to focus his attacks on the VP candidate on the other, and only highlights his inexperience in comparison to the other sides Presidential candidate. To his credit, he has announced that he will focus his attacks on McCain instead. It’s not going to work, though, because his friends in the media will keep attacking her, thus keeping the spotlight directly where Obama doesn’t want it. They see her as a threat, and that’s the only way they know how to deal with threats.

McCain The Laugh Riot

Democrats Innovative New Strategy: You’re All A Bunch Of Racists!

Democrats in Ohio have unveiled a bold new strategy to court voters: insult them.  “Race — that’s the only reason people in the Valley won’t vote for him,” said state Rep. Thomas Letson of Warren, D-64th, about Barack Obama, his party’s presidential nominee. “There are 1,000 reasons to vote for Obama and one reason why you won’t — race.”

So race is the ONLY reason not to vote for The Messiah? Not the fact that he’s a socialist, or that his best buddies hate America more than bin Laden does, or that he’s a damn fool with no executive experience. Or that his ears make him look like the Kool-Aid man? None of that is a possible reason to vote against him? Only race?

That’s fine. Good luck with that strategy. Let us know how it works out for you.

In The Tank

Is Yahoo News in the Tank for Obama? A-DUUhhhhh! It seems like every news post they have features a headline that’s slanted at least slightly toward Obama, if not overtly AGAINST McCain. Take, for example, this ad….sorry, “news story”, about how McCain is distorting the truth against Obama in his attack ads. They devote almost the entire article to bashing McCain and how “deceptive” his ads are, such as the Sex-ed ad, which is actually entirely factual, but only one paragraph to Obama’s excesses, which have been far greater in number. They follow that paragraph up with another, excusing Obama.

Meanwhile, if you look at their chosen links under the opinion section, it’s pretty much all pro-Obama, all the time. As of this writing, they’ve got two opinion links, both anti McCain, one from the Nation, a magazine slightly to the left of Leonid Brezhnev, and one from Politico, a recent arrival on the scene, who seem to be trying to show all the usual left-wing Democrat asshats the correct way to be a left-wing Democrat asshat. All of these fools can be counted on to be reliably in the tank for Obama.

Jeez, why don’t you just blow the guy and get it over with.

They Must Be Getting REALLY Desperate

This is getting crazy. It’s turning into six degrees of separation in the media in their attempts to demonize Governor Palin. Now their trying to tie her to a Kenyan Witchhunter to explain her success in the Alaska Governor’s race.
